Suspension Magnet for Conveyor Belt
Suspension magnets are commonly installed above conveyor belts carrying bulk materials.
The magnet's position and working height are important factors in achieving effective separation.
The following parameters should be evaluated:
Conveyor belt width
Material burden depth
Belt speed
Magnetic contaminant size
Material density
Feed capacity
Installation height
Magnetic field strength
Required separation performance
A magnet that is positioned too far from the material may provide inadequate attraction at the burden surface.
Conversely, installation clearance must account for material depth, belt movement and oversized material.
Power Magnetronics therefore recommends selecting the suspension magnet based on the complete application rather than using a single standard size for every conveyor.
